H?tel Astor Saint-Honor
The H?tel Astor in Paris has created a new style in the luxury hotel business. The hotel is located on a calm street, close to the Rue du Faubourg Saint Honor? with its haute couture boutiques.
The Astor is also situated near to the renowned department stores of Paris and within walking distance of the Champs-Elys?es, the Place de la Concorde and La Madeleine church.
The seven-story building was built in 1907 as an apartment complex and its facade of Paris stone is decorated with typical Art Nouveau ornamentation.
In 1930, the new owner converted the building into a hotel, calling it the Astor in honour of the American hotel dynasty. A group of private investors purchased the property in 1992 and it re-opened in June 1996 after being completely renovated and re-decorated by one of France's foremost interior designers, Fr?d?ric Mechiche.
